It was Irene's father, my Uncle Basil, who put Irene and me in contact with each other. Over the years Irene and I would have written/phoned each other but we only met once back in 2005 when Irene decided to come to Belfast to meet us.  It was a lovely week with Irene meeting up with more cousins Margaret, Marie, Agnes, my mum Martha, Denis, my sister Martha and me.

In all my letters/emails to Irene, the main topic was Jonathan, Rachel, Margeaux and Noe and I know you all will miss her very, very much.
